Because of the wonderful all-year round climate (average temp in Jan and Feb is 17ºC) mean that the area is deservedly popular because it is generally considered to offer a better quality of life.

The landscape and coastline is breathtaking, with white sandy beaches and mountain backdrops – something for all tastes. This is primarily a rural area with great swathes of orange and yellow during the growing season of the citrus fruits, complemented by a modern infrastructure with all the home comforts you would expect in the UK. There are high tech hospitals, excellent schools, efficient transport and emergency services.

The Torrevieja Hospital has been awarded the accolade of being one of the best hospitals in the country several times. Traditional Spanish food is simple and unpretentious and offered “Al fresco” making the experience all the more delightful. We can all imagine enjoying a “paella”, sipping our “vino” or “sangria”, watching a sun go down over the sea.
