One of the strongest features about the Letchworth Garden City housing market is that when you buy a home here, you find yourself part of a very strong community. The homes are lovely looking and spacious, which is vital these days, but we believe people are looking for more than a building when they come to live in an area like this.
We are pleased to serve the local community, and we are proud to be part of a group that has rallied very hard in trying circumstances. Very few people have found it easy in the past year or so, but we feel that a lot of great work and effort has been put in locally, and we love being part of this community.
This is why we think the LGC Live event, the first ever Letchworth Music and Dance Festival, which takes place on Saturday 24th July is sure to be such a brilliant day out for all the family. We all deserve a day like this, and hopefully it will be an event that lives on long in the memory for exciting moments and pleasant music.
Local acts get their time in the spotlight
A very pleasing aspect about this live event is that it provides a chance for local artists to connect with fans, and develop skills and confidence in the live arena. There will be a number of local artists including Sam Lewis Band, Paul Dowsett and Max Ryan. You might recognise some of these names from previous live events in Letchworth, so this will be an excellent chance for you to reconnect with these artists.
There will also be a set from BX Dance, who are a local dance group. If you are interested in hip-hop, and you want to see a wide range of street dance styles, this is one part of the event that will leave you feeling thrilled.
There are some big names at the event too
Of course, while it is brilliant to see local talent on the bill, you always want to see a big-name act or two at these shows. Soul Man is a very well-known name, and you’ll be on your feet dancing to some of the biggest soul hits from across the ages.
We are also delighted to say that ASWAD are the headliners for the event. This is a massive name from the world of UK reggae, and they had a number one single in the days when that actually meant around.
That song was called “Don’t Turn Around”, but if you are facing anywhere but the main stage when their set begins, we implore you to ignore that advice. You need to turn around straight away and enjoy yourself!
As you would expect, there will be plenty of food, activities and a whole lot of live music to enjoy, so clear your diaries for Saturday 24th July.
