Lower Stondon is a small village close to the Hertfordshire boarder and has a populatipn of approximately 2000. The village is part of the larger Stondon civil parish, with the name Stondon deriving from the Saxon word meaning Stone Hill. The surrounding villages are picturesque and popular with commuters who want country living. The area offers a variety of different homes that could suit young professionals, families and people retiring for a quieter life. Lower Stondon is approximately 10 minutes from Hitchin Railway Station which has direct links to Stevenage, London, Cambridge and Peterborough and approximately 5 minutes from Arlesey Railway Station.

The team is extremely dedicated with over 30 years of experience. The office is managed by Jamie Nicholas, supported by his assistant manager Lorraine Matthews. Together they have one simple goal and that is to market your home to the highest standard possible, so they are to achieve the best possible price. The senior negotiator Steph Beresford works alongside the negotiators Evie Lawrence and Sam Macey, utilising their local knowledge, experience and friendly bubbly personalities to make sure your move goes as smoothly as possible. The office is held together by Karen Haskell the administrator who ensures all the correct paperwork is in place, her attention to detail is unrivalled.

The office also has a dedicated team for residential lettings and property management. Tracey Bush, Debbie Brown, Gill Lee and Sharon Lilley utilise the same marketing tools that the sales team use, meaning they can successfully locate and secure the best tenants for the landlords, as well as maintaining the properties and managing the property accounts. Dealing in lettings only, means they are specialised in this field.

Experience within accounts and customer service roles led Tracey to join the Flitwick Lettings Branch of Country Properties in 2014. Now supervisor of the Shefford lettings team, Tracey is responsible for maintaining the property accounts for Landlords and over-seeing the Lettings department to make sure our landlords and tenants receive the best service possible.

Lower Stondon is a small village close to the Herfordshire Boarder. You can expect country living with beautiful walks whilst still being able to access the larger towns very easily. Lower Stondon has a popular golf course called Mount Pleasant that not only offers a nine hole golf course with 18 different tees, but the Fairway bar and bistro too. Perfect to enjoy a drink with colleagues or a contemporary place to eat and relax with friends. The areas education system is a three tiered one and the village itself offers a Lower School called Derwent lower, with the children then moving onto Robert Bloomfield middle school and Samuel Whitbread upper school in nearby Shefford. The village offers a variety of small shops, including take aways, hairdressers and local stores. Approximately 10 minutes away is the popular town of Hitchin where you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to bars, restaurant and local shopping. Hitchin also has a mainline train station with direct links to Stevenage, London, Cambridge and Peterborough. Only approximately 5 minutes away is Arlesey train station which also offers direct lines to London. You wont be short of places to shop with Morrisons supermarket is in nearby Shefford, Asda and Waitrose are offered in Hitchin.
