Welcome to Country Properties Ashwell.  Country Properties have a network of branches covering Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.  Our Ashwell Branch is particularly well situated with a station on the Cambridge to London main line.  The branch is a one stop shop for all your house selling services in all price ranges.

We have been operating in the local area for over 40 years – making us one of the most established Estate Agents in the Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire region with over 20 offices and a shared database offering us access to thousands of potential buyers. Country Properties Ashwell is dedicated to individual village and rural homes and is owned locally by John Redman, an experienced and qualified business professional.

Our team is made up of local property experts with a wealth of experience in Estate Agency, led by Branch Manager Paul Pocock who is a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents. Most people would regard estate agents as being only responsible to serve their client's needs; in short to have minimal interface with the buyer, conveyancing solicitors, local authorities, etc. - whilst only putting maximum emphasis on pointing out the attractive features of the property being sold by their clients. Country Properties were not our estate agents but in many ways out - performed those involved in the sale of our property. They greatly assisted in resolving major issues that we encountered with the 'dreaded chain', and were involved in all aspects of buying and selling, continuously keeping us as the buyer, updated on a regular basis. In conclusion therefore we would recommend that anyone buying or selling a house should consider Country Properties their first choice as estate agents. The Baldock office in particular deserves special mention and we were most grateful for their assistance.

Local area guide

Ashwell is a quaint village with a great sense of community. It offers small independent shops for day-to-day needs including a bakery, butchers, general store and a gift/coffee shop. There are 3 pubs in the village with a good reputation for dining plus other amenities including a Doctors, Dentists and popular lower school feeding into the renowned Knights Templar Secondary School.

Within 15 minutes of both the A1(m) and the M11, you can understand why this is such a popular village to live in for those who work in the nearby cities, and that’s before we mention the rail links! With a shuttle bus which runs to Ashwell & The Mordens train station (with fast links into London’s Kings Cross – approx. 45 minutes – and Cambridge – approx. 25 minutes), this village is very popular with commuters – enabling them to enjoy the Hertfordshire countryside with the hustle and bustle of London close by!
