Stotfold local area and living guide
Stotfold is a small town in Central bedfordshire with a population of over 6,000 located where the A1 joins the A1 (M). Arlesey train station is located nearby with trains to London and north to Peterborough. The train station has a car park and a bus service for those needing to commute.
The local attraction Stotfold Mill holds an annual Steam & Country Show in May each year which goes towards funding the charity. The mill is the remaining mill of one of four that were mentioned in the Domesday Book from 1086. It was fully restored and reopened in 2006 after burning down in 1992.
There is a lot of new building work taking place in Stotfold with 850 homes being completed and plans for a new lower school, industrial complex and shops.
