Shefford local area and living guide

Shefford is a small market town with a population of approximately 6,000 located in Bedfordshire. The name of the town is originally derived from Sheeps Ford as it was host to a popular sheep market and the ford over the two local rivers that run through the town.

There are plenty of rural attractions with nearby Campton Plantation and Rowney Warren providing great walks, whilst in the town there is the annual gala in June and the Michaelmas Fair each October.
