Baldock local area and living guide

 

Baldock is a market town with a population of 9,900 in North Hertfordshire about 33 miles north of London. Transport links include the A1(M) to London, a regular bus service and Baldock train station which is on the London Kings Cross to Cambridge line.

The town was established by the Knights Templar and its name is thought to possibly originate from the Old French name Baldac, which translates to Baghdad.

Baldock has several large events take place each year with the Baldock Festival, Baldock Charter Fair and Balstock.
