Home Working In Heart of Letchworth?

22nd April 2021 posted in BUYERS

Remote working has shaped the property market, and how we live our lives, in the past year. While many people are settling in for this to be the way business is undertaken, it seems as though some people are keen to see a return to old ways.

The Chancellor spoke to the Telegraph, saying; “You can’t beat the spontaneity, the team building, the culture that you create in a firm or an organisation from people actually spending physical time together.”

The headlines around the article suggest thousands of people will quit their job if they are not allowed to return to their office.

What do you think of remote working?

There is no denying that there are very strong opinions on remote working. You will also find many people see the positives and negatives from this way of working.

Having greater freedom to buy a home where you like as opposed to being close to your work has been a huge factor in the past year. While the stamp duty holiday has been the catalyst for many moves, working from home and a desire for more space have been the justifying factors for many households.

Of course, there is a lot to be said for working with others. Many people enjoy the camaraderie they find the workplace, although, not everyone feels the same. There is also a need to balance out the pain of the daily commute and other costs of working in towns and cities, against working at home.

While remote working has been helpful for some households, it has been far from ideal for others.

There is no single solution that pleases everyone. Going forward, there is a need for flexibility, and a new scheme in Letchworth Garden City will hopefully help people enjoy the best of both worlds.

Find a new place to work in Letchworth Garden City

There is a lot to like about life in Letchworth, but if you tire of remote working, it is helpful to know you can book a desk and work in the town centre. This new scheme will be in place after the Easter break, and it might be the sort of thing which helps you strike a better balance between work and home-life.

The space will be available from April 12 at The Arcade Shopping Centre, Letchworth, from 9AM.

Town centre manager Chris Wilson said: “They say nothing in life comes for free – and this seems especially true when it comes to finding a productive working environment in Letchworth town centre. For years, entrepreneurs and freelancers who can’t yet afford to pay for workspace have flocked to noisy coffee chains. And these haven’t exactly been ideal, thanks to their many distractions, unreliable WiFi, and requests that you buy a new drink every hour. Or, you may simply just fancy a change of scenery, or an opportunity to get out of the same old lockdown attire routine.”

Whether you work remotely, commute or fancy the idea of booking a desk in the heart of town, Letchworth Garden City is an excellent destination for homeowners.

Currently, in line with Government guidelines, our Letchworth Garden City branch is open and our and lettings personnel are here to assist you.
