When it comes to summing up the flavour of Country Properties Welwyn Garden City, I’d say it’s our team – and our traditional values – that makes the difference. For a new town – Welwyn Garden City celebrated its centennial year in 2020 – our branch is known for its traditional approach to estate agency. And, we are the town’s longest-established independent estate agents, founded in 1989.

We love nothing more than for clients to join us in the office for a coffee while we discuss their new home wish list, or talk through the latest in the world of lettings. We are a family-orientated team. I own the franchise with my wife, and our daughter works here too – as does my brother-in-law. My father’s family originated from the area, so my personal connection with Welwyn Garden City goes beyond work.

Mind you, I’ve worked here for 23 years so that’s a strong tie too! Most of our staff have worked here for more than 10 years, which means our experience in the area, and in property, runs deep. We hope you’ll join us for that coffee – we’d love to help you with your own home quest.

Welwyn Garden City is a town in Hertfordshire, just over 20 miles from London. The idyllic streets of Welwyn Garden City are lined with trees and the town has a neo-Georgian centre. The beautiful Parkway runs through the middle of the town and is almost a mile long.

There’s speedy access to the A1(M) from here, and the M25 is only 15 minutes away, so it’s a perfect location for commuters. London is easily reached from Welwyn Garden City train station, with London Kings Cross and Moorgate stations just a 30-minute journey away, and these train services run two or three times every hour. Local buses run to Hatfield, St Albans, Stevenage, Hitchin, Hemel Hempstead, Hertford and Watford.
